FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Since June 1st, 2021, the State of New Jersey enables undocumented immigrants with an Individual Taxpayer ID Number (ITIN), Social Security Number or a notarized affidavit indicating ineligibility for a Social Security Number; to apply for initial permits. Applicants must provide documents to pass the MVC’s six-point verification test .
